Happy Tuesday!
What a cold and snowy weekend!! I heard many stories of brave boys and girls who went outside and enjoyed themselves in the snow. It sounds like many snowmen have been made!!
Our story today was "The Snowy Day" By Ezra Jack Keats. Peter wakes up to the season's first snowfall. In his bright red snowsuit, he goes outside and makes footprints and trails through the snow. He makes a snowman, some snow angels and goes sliding down a hill. When its time to go home, he makes a snowball and puts it in his pocket for the next day. After bath time, Peter checks on his snowball. He is sad to see that it has melted. Ask your child what Peter saw out his window the next morning.
We practiced our cutting skills today. We have been talking about the correct way to hold scissors, and how to use out helper hand when cutting paper. I am so proud of how well everyone is doing! Its amazing to see how far they have come.
Maxwell was our snack leader today, he brought cheese sticks and apples. Thank you, Maxwell!
See you all on Thursday!!
