Happy Monday!!!
We had some very excited
children telling stories of playing in the snow. There were lots of snowmen, snow forts and snow ball fights.
Our
story today was "The Magical Snowman" By Catherine Walters. Little
Rabbit made a wonderful snowman and doesn't want to leave him. However,
his father needs him to help collect berries for dinner. Little Rabbit
got so focused in collecting berries, that he didn't realize that it
had started to snow. The wind was blowing the snow that Little Rabbits
tracks were covered, he realized that he was lost and got scared.
Little Rabbit started to panic, all of a sudden his snowman appeared,
He scooped Little Rabbit up and started to help him home. They went
down hills and skated over a frozen pond. All of a sudden Little Rabbit
heard his Dad yelling his name! He was so happy!! Little Rabbit was
telling his Dad how the snowman had helped him find his way home. Ask
your child what Father Rabbit thought of the snowman helping.
Do
you want to build a snowman? Well, that is exactly what we did!! We
played with real, cold, wet snow!!! Can you believe it?!? We had cups,
spoons, buttons, pipe cleaners and cotton balls, Each group worked
together and made some beautiful snowman!! Boy were our hands cold!!
Joel was our snack leader today. He brought bananas, Belvita bars and milk. Thank you, Joel!!
Don't forget Wednesday is Pajama Day!! I'm sure your child will continue to remind you, as they are all very excited!
