Happy Thursday!!
I think we are getting back into the swing of things. Everyone is so happy to see their friends, you can feel the excitement in the air!
We worked on our fine motor skills today, by helping a lonely snowman get to his clothes. We had to trace the dotted lines to the different articles of clothing. I was blown away at how well everyone did tracing their lines. Each one of the children have come so far. We also played with our parachute today, pretending that we were swimming in the ocean. Sometimes our waves were big, and sometimes they were small. Ask your child what their favorite wave was.
Our story today was "Snowman Magic" By Katherine Tegen. When George stays home from school for a snow day, he can't resist going outside. He gets himself dressed, and out into the beautiful white snow he goes! George starts rolling the snow into balls and makes a snowman. Complete with a scarf, hat, arms and a perfect face. But, out of the corner of his eye he sees his snowman smirk. When he offers him hot chocolate, his snowman starts talking and tells George he would rather have cookies! It was magic!!! George and his snowman have so much fun together. But, as the days go by and the sun comes out his snowman starts to change. By the end of the week, the sun was shining and George's snowman was just a heap of clothing. George was sad, all he wanted to do was play with his snowman. When George woke up the next morning, it was snowing!! Ask your child what George decided to do!
Linc was our snack leader today. He brought yogurt and bananas. Thank you, Linc!
Don't forget registration for next year is on Saturday. A note went home in your child's bag with some information regarding sign up. Please let us know if you have any questions.
See you on Tuesday!!!
