Happy Monday!
I hope you were all able to have a nice weekend, and enjoy this beautiful weather outside. I think that a plus of this whole situation right now, is being able to enjoy the nice weather, get some fresh air, and burn off some energy!!
I'm sure that you have all heard, we won't be seeing each other this month. I was really hoping that it wasn't going to be the case. Lets say some prayers that we can spend the month of May together! I sure miss seeing all the smiling faces at school!
Please give your child a huge hug, and let them know that Mrs. Smith misses them so much!!
Here is a fun song to get you moving! We love Koo Koo Kangaroo!

To continue with our reading month, this week we are going read books by Kimberly and James Dean. They write the Pete the Cat books. The one sure thing about Pete, is that he has a great outlook on life!
Our story today is "Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party" By Kimberly and James Dean

What is your favorite kind of pizza? Do you like pepperoni, or sausage? Maybe pineapple or cheese? Do you like to make your own pizza, or order it from a restaurant?
Have you ever noticed the different shapes that are on a pizza? There are circles made out of pepperoni, some times our slices are cut into triangles or even squares!
What would you put on your perfect pizza to share with friends? Below is a pizza coloring sheet for you to make your own pizza.

I would love to see what your pizza's look like! You can have your Mom or Dad send me a picture or a video! If you don't want to use the coloring sheet, maybe you can draw a pizza outside with some chalk!
We have been playing with chalk a lot at our house. Yesterday, one of the Smith Boys drew a pizza, I thought it was very fitting for our lesson today!
I sure miss all of you, and would love to hear how you are all doing! I have enjoyed getting emails and videos from some of you! Hopefully, the rain holds off today and you can get outside and play!
