Happy Monday!!!
I hope you were all able to take advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend, it sounds like what is headed our way isn't so pleasant.
Today we read the story "The Rainbow Fish" By Marcus Pfister. This story is about a fish with shiny, multi-colored scales named the Rainbow Fish. He had blue, green and purple scales, and he also had beautiful shiny silver glittery scales. All the other fish thought they were so beautiful. When the little blue fish asked the Rainbow fish if he would share his silver scales with him, he said "no"! The other fish decided that they didn't want to play with the Rainbow fish anymore, since he wouldn't share. Rainbow fish was sad that he didn't have anyone to play with. The wise old octopus told the Rainbow fish, that if he would share and be nice to others that maybe his friends would like to play with him and he wouldn't be so lonely. He decided to take the octopus' advice, and share a silver scale with the little blue fish. Once, he saw them sparkling in the water, he realized that it was ok to share his scales. Ask your child what the Rainbow fish decided to do with all of his glittery scales.
Today we made our own rainbow fish. We practiced using the eye droppers in watercolors, Our fish look so beautiful, and we can't wait to show them off at Grown-Up day.
Teddy was our snack leader today. He brought raspberries and cheese sticks. Thank you, Teddy!!
I can't wait to see all the Grown-Ups that come to school on Wednesday. Hopefully, the snow will hold off. Remember we follow Bettendorf schools, if there is a 2 hour delay we will cancel classes. If Grown-Up day is canceled on Wednesday we will reschedule for a later date.
