Happy RED Day!!

Everyone was so excited to show off all of their red clothing today! Some of us were covered head to toe in red!

The weather was so nice, and we had lots of wiggles to get out of our system today.  The playground was calling our names!!  We played with the building blocks and made huge towers, went super fast on the bikes, had a tea party on the tables and played some games of catch.  It was so nice to get some fresh air, before it started to get really warm today.

Our story today was "We Don't Eat Our Classmates"By Ryan T. Higgins.  Its the first day of school for Penelope Rex, and she can't wait to meet her classmates.  But, its hard to make human friends when they are so darn delicious!! That is, until Penelope gets a taste of her own medicine and she finds that she may not be at the top of the food chain after all.....she meets Walter, the class fish.  Ask your child what Walter did to make her realize its not polite to eat your friends.

Today was our Birthday/Cooking Day!!!  For our cooking activity, we peeled bananas, added two chocolate chip eye, some wheat thin cracker scales, and pretzel legs.  Can you guess what we made?!? DINOSAURS!!!! And, boy were they tasty!! Everyone did such a great job peeling their bananas and putting their dinosaurs together.  We didn't have any birthdays in September to celebrate, but that not a reason to pass up a birthday brownie! Boy, were they tasty!! Some of us had more on our faces, than in our mouths!

I hope you all had a wonderful week, and enjoy your weekend!!

Happy Tuesday!!

It is so nice to actually have a full week of school!  We are working really hard to learn the names of our new friends at preschool.  Ask your child the name of a new friend they played with today.

We had lots of energy today, and no better way to channel that but to get out the parachute.  We made small waves, and big waves, we touched the ground and tried to reach the ceiling.  The best part of using the parachute, is waving to your friends under the parachute like a tent!!!

Our story today was "Sorry, Grown-Ups, You Can't Go to School!" By Christina Geist. Lady and Buddy were so excited to go to school, when they were downstairs eating breakfast their mom came down with her new backpack on.  She was so excited to wear it to school!! WAIT!!!! Do grown-ups go to school? NO! Only kid and teachers!! All of a sudden their Dad came through the door, excited to show off his new shoes for school.  Sorry Daddy, school is only for kids and teachers.  Ask your child who else was trying to go to school with Lady and Buddy.

Brinley was our snack leader, she brought yogurt and blueberries.  Thank you, Brinley!

Thursday is our Cooking Day and our Birthday celebration.  It is also our day to wear RED to school!! I can't wait to see all of the fun creations that you come up with!!

See you all on Thursday!!!

What a bright sunny day!!!

It was so nice to see everyone at school today! We had lots of smiles and giggles in our class this morning.  We had so much fun playing outside, riding on our bikes, playing with chalk, and running around.

We are starting to learn our routine here at preschool.  We are also starting to learn our Welcome song too!! Everyone is doing such a great job!  We have also been spending some time learning the names of our friends at preschool.  Ask your child what friend they played with today.

Our story today was "Froggy Goes to School" By Jonathan London.  Froggy was really excited for his first day of school.  He couldn't wait to ride on the bus and go see all of his friends.  Ask your child what funny thing happened to Froggy when he thought he woke up late, and was missing the bus.

Carson was our snack leader today.  He brought bananas and cheerios.  Thank you, Carson!!
