Happy December!!
Welcome back!! From all
of the stories this morning, I heard that you all had a wonderful
Thanksgiving. Lots of time spent with family and friends. I even heard
stories about shopping on Black Friday. However, I have to say the most
excitement came when we started talking about it being December, and
all the things that happen in December. I really enjoyed hearing the
stories of the silly elves that are visiting your house!
Our
movement cube changed to all things December! We marched like toy
soldiers, rolled like ornaments, spread our branches, pranced like
reindeer and a few others. Ask your child which one was their favorite.
Our
story today was "The Hat" By Jan Brett. Lisa was hanging her winter
clothes on the line outside to air them up. All of a sudden, the wind
blew and one of her woolen stocking landed on Hedgie the Hedgehog! It
got stuck on one of his quills, and so he had to walk around the farm
with a sock stuck to his head like a hat. When he encountered the other
animals on the farm, they kept asking why the stocking was on his
head. He told all the animals that he was preparing for the winter and
the snow that was coming. He was going to be nice and toasty warm.
When Lisa saw that her stocking was stuck on Hedgie, she started
laughing and chased after him. By the time she got back to her clothes
line, all of her clothes were missing!! Ask your child what happened to
all of Lisa's clothes.
Connor was our snack leader today. He brought cereal and bananas. Thank you, Connor!!
See you all on Thursday!!!
