What a beautiful day!
I hope that the rain holds off until this evening, and you can enjoy some time outside and getting fresh air. Nice weather makes all of the time spent at home more enjoyable.
Well, today is our last day together. I remember our first days together at Preschool in the fall. I loved meeting each and everyone of you. Your smiles, laughter and hugs made my day. We have had so much fun! From field trips meeting Farmer Gene, to singing silly songs and playing games you have all learned and grown so much!! I am so proud of each one of you! Next year when you come to Preschool you won't be in my class, you will be in Mrs. Christiansen's class. You are going to LOVE her! The fun thing for me, is that I get to watch you all continue to grow, and hear Mrs. Christiansen talk about how smart, caring and funny you all are. I love you all so much!........I am so EXCITED to see all of you tomorrow afternoon when you come to school in the car line. I have a feeling that my cheeks are going to hurt by the end of the evening from smiling so much!
Now, that we have the sappy stuff out of the way. Let's get our bodies moving today!

Our story today is "Hello! Hello!" By Matthew Cordell.

Sometimes it is easy for us to get lost in our electronics, and let the day and the world pass us by. Lydia was looking for someone to play with. Her eagerness found herself outside exploring nature, and even made friends with some horses. Have you ever gone outside and gone on a nature walk or a scavenger hunt? Today, I would love for you to take your grown ups outside, maybe look in your yard or walk around your neighborhood and look for some things on my list! Take pictures, and let me know how you did!
Parents, please give your child a huge hug from me and let them know that Mrs. Smith loves them and misses them very much. Thank you, for sharing your children with me each day. I have loved watching them grow over this year. I hope you all have a wonderful summer, and make some memories together!

Happy Monday!
I hope that everyone had a nice weekend, and that you were able to enjoy the nice weather we had on Saturday. Maybe your Sunday was spent inside, snuggling and watching movies.
I am sure by now, you have all read the email Mrs. Christiansen sent about our "Drive-Thru Goodbye" we will be having on Thursday. This is our last week together, as strange as this last 7 weeks has been with having school through our blog, I am sad that this is coming to an end. I have loved getting the updates from all of you about how your children are doing. I can't wait to see everyone on Thursday. I am literally counting down the days until I get to wave at each one of you! I hope that the rain holds off!
Here is a song to get your body moving on this chilly day!

Our story today is about a little boy who loves to paint. However, his Mama isn't very happy with his choice of where is was going to paint, and the mess he was making. So, he says he isn't going to paint anymore.......do you think he will be able to stop? "I Ain't Gonna Paint No More" By Karen Beaumont
watch
What a mess he made!!! Thank goodness for the bathtub to help clean him up! Do you like to paint? If you could. what color would you paint your head? Or, your feet, or arm? Today we aren't going to paint our bodies.......unless your Mom or Dad say it is it ok. We are going to paint a paper person. If you don't have paint, crayons, or markers will work too!! I can't wait to see all of your painted people!

Happy Wednesday!
It is so nice to see the sun shining today, after having a very wet Tuesday! Yesterday was definitely the perfect day to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie. Have you watched any good movies lately? We rented Trolls World Tour, and I think my children watched it 4 times before the rental expired. The music was so much fun to dance to!
Here is a song to get your body moving!

Today our story is "Monsters Love Colors" By Mike Austin. Don't worry, the monsters in this book aren't scary, they are actually quite funny!
watch
What is your favorite color? One of my favorite colors is GREEN, if you are coloring and you don't have that color crayon you can color BLUE first, then YELLOW on top of it! Just like in the book! Maybe you can try that at home! What other colors can you make with your crayons? When you go outside today, look around you. What colors do you see? The flowers and trees around us are starting to bloom. Maybe some of you have flowers in pots on your front porch. The flowers on my porch are purple and yellow right now.
Here is a picture of a rainbow you can color. What colors will you use? There are two cute butterflies on the rainbow, what color do you think they should be? I can't wait to see all of the beautiful colors that you use!!

Please give your child a huge hug for me, and let them know that Mrs. Smith misses them so much! Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing Moms out there! You all deserve a day full of laughter and snuggles!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Happy Monday!
I hope you all were able to enjoy the beautiful weather that we had this weekend. It was so nice to be outside and be in the sunshine. What fun things did you do with your family? At my house we worked in our yard, taking bushes out and putting new bushes in and laying new mulch. When we were taking the mulch out of the truck a frog jumped out! It was the cutest little fat frog!
Here is a song to get your body moving!

I hope you all enjoyed reading month. It was so fun to read books by all of the authors we talked about. What is your favorite book to read at your house?
Today we are going to read a silly story about animals. The story today is called "The Animal Boogie" By Fred Penner and Illustrated by Debbie Harter.
watch
Did that book make you want to do the animal boogie in the jungle? Sometimes when were are at preschool, we read and listen to the story first, then we get to act out the story. Now, I want you to do the animal boogie along with the music!
watch
I bet that song will be in your head all day! What animal was your favorite?
I would love to hear what you have all been up to! Have your Parents email me (redeemerpreschool2d@hotmail.com) and tell me all about the fun things that you have been doing. I sure miss you all!
Parents, please give your child a huge hug and let them know that Mrs. Smith is thinking about them!
I hope you all have a great week! Check back on Wednesday!

Happy Wacky Wednesday!!!
I hope you have all had a nice start to your week. Have you done anything fun? We have been growing butterflies at our house for the last few weeks. Do you remember in the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" how the caterpillar ate and ate, then built a cocoon that he slept in for two weeks? Then when he woke up, he was a beautiful butterfly. That is what happened at my house! On Monday, they were ready to fly off on their new adventure. It was so neat to watch them grow from the caterpillar to the butterflies!
Here is a song to get your body moving!
watch
Did you notice that I said Wacky Wednesday? Well, wacky means to do something silly. Like, wear your clothes backwards, or two different shoes. Our story today is "Wacky Wednesday" By Dr. Suess. Based on the title, I have a feeling that there are going to be some wacky things going on! watch
Wow!! There were a lot of wacky things happening in that story. What did you find in the book that was wacky? I saw shoes on the wall, and a palm tree growing out of the toilet in the bathroom! Oh my goodness, that was a silly book!
I have officially declared today Wacky Wednesday! That means, you can do some things wacky! Are you going to wear your clothes backwards, or maybe wear a silly outfit! I would love to see some pictures of you enjoying your wacky Wednesday!
Please give your child a huge hug from me, and let them know that Mrs. Smith misses them very much! I hope you all continue to enjoy the rest of your week!

Happy Monday!!
I hope that you all enjoyed the Art Show last week. Thank you to everyone who came "virtually" and saw all of the beautiful artwork. I hope that your children were excited to show off their work, and see the work of their friends.
Shake your sillies out with this song!
watch
We are in our final week of reading month. What fun books have you been reading this month? This week we are going to be reading books by Dr. Seuss. I am sure you have read books by him before. Our story today is "Fox in Socks". If you have this book at home, go get it and follow along!
watch
Wow!! That book had a lot of tongue twisters in it! A tongue twister is a bunch of words that start with the same letter. When you try to say them fast or even sometimes slow, your tongue gets silly!
Can you say " She sell seashells by the seashore" first try saying it slow, then say it faster and faster! Here is a song with some tongue twisters.
watch
Can you make some socks like the Fox in Socks? They can be silly with different colors, or they can have stripes, or dots, or hearts!
You can create your silly socks here!

I declare today Silly Sock Day......can you find silly socks at your house? They can be socks of different colors, or lengths, they can have pictures on them or different patterns. Maybe you can ask your family to join you in silly sock day!
We are having Silly Sock Day at the Smith House!
Parents, please give your child a hug hug from me and let them know that Mrs. Smith misses them so much!! I hope you are all doing well!
