There was so much excitement in the air today. We had spiders, princesses, witches, sharks, ghosts, pumpkins and more!! It was so much fun to see everyone in costumes!! This may have been my very favorite day of preschool yet!!
We had Halloween music playing and games all around. We played musical chairs, and did the monster mash. We had a relay race with apples, and threw bean bags into a ghost.
Our snack to day was dirt cups!! It was so much fun watching everyone eat the pudding, Oreos and gummy worms!
I hope you are all able to Trick or Treat, and the snow doesn't become an issue!! Have a wonderful weekend, and see you on

Snow What?!?
We had some pretty excited children at school today, talking all about the snow!! They immediately thought we should go outside and make a snowman! I'm not sure Mrs. Youngbauer and I are ready for that quite yet!
We learned how to play a new game today. Musical chairs!! I was so proud of everyone while we were playing the game. Nobody had hurt feelings, if there wasn't a chair for them. When they did get out, they cheered on their friends still left in the game. They had so much fun, that they asked if we could play it at our Halloween party on Thursday.
Our story today was "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything" By Linda Williams. A brave old woman begins a walk in the forest where she meets two big shoes. Further down the path, a pair of pants, a shirt, two gloves a hat and a pumpkin head come into sight, each trying to frighten her. When she's back inside her cottage, a KNOCK KNOCK challenges her to open the door. It was all of the items that she found on the path! Do you think they were able to scare her? Of course not!! She wasn't afraid of anything! The pumpkin was sad, so the little old lady whispered in his ear. Ask you child what the little old lady said to the pumpkin.
Savannah was our snack leader today. She brought cheese sticks and mandarin oranges. Thank you, Savannah!
Thursday is our Halloween party, please send your child either with our in their costume. We are going to have so much fun!

Happy Thursday!!
Thank you to all who came Tuesday night for conferences. It was so nice to see everyone, and share things about your wonderful children.
With the weather changing, we have more and more children coming to school with coats on. One of our goals is to make our students more independent. We have been practicing how to put on our coats. The way that we have taught the children, is to lay the coat on the floor, with the tag and hood by their toes. Then make two fists, and put them into the sleeve holes, flip the coat over their head and put it on! The sense of accomplishment on their faces, is amazing! Next week, we will start learning how to zip our coats.
Since we had worked so hard putting our coats on, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and played outside! It was so nice to get some fresh air and run around!!
Our story today was "Froggy Picks a Pumpkin" By Jonathan London. Froggy and he friends enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch. Froggy can't to pick a pumpkin, carve it into a jack o-'lantern and enjoy a big slice of pumpkin pie. Froggy goes and picks the most perfect pumpkin to take home, as he is carrying it to his class something happens!! Ask your child what happened to Froggy's pumpkin.
Sarvesh was our snack leader today. He brought go gurt and nutri grain bars. Thank you, Sarvesh!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! See you next week!

Happy Wednesday!!
Thank you all who came Monday night for conferences. It was so nice to see everyone, and share things about your wonderful children.
The rain popped up just was we were wanting to go outside today. So we practiced our tumbling skills and crawling through the tunnel. I love to see how everyone cheers on their friends and the look of accomplishment on their faces. We have quite the athletic group!

What a beautiful day!
It was so nice to see so many smiling faces today at preschool. You could tell that everyone was excited to be with their friends!
Today we worked at our table tops. Everyone was given a bingo dauber and a picture of a leaf. I was blown away at how well everyone did with putting the bingo dauber on the spots inside the leaf. What great hand eye coordination this class has!!
Since it was so windy outside, we decided to create some wind inside. We used the parachute to go high in the sky, and low to the ground. When we went fast, the wind blew in our faces. Our favorite part was waving to all of our friends under the parachute!!
Our story today was "There was an old lady who swallowed a bat" By Lucille Colandro. This crazy old lady swallowed a bat, an owl, a cat, a ghost, a goblin, some bones, and a wizard. What do you think happened to the little old lady about she swallowed the wizard? Ask your child about the silly ending!
Maxwell was our snack leader today. He brought cuties and milk. Thank you, Maxwell!
As the weather continues to change, we will still be going outside as much as possible. Please send your child to school with a jacket of some sort. We will also be starting to learn how to put on and zip our coats ourselves.

Happy Tuesday!
The seasons have definitely started to change! I think our days going outside to play are starting to be limited. Please continue to send your child in a light jacket if possible.
Our story today was "We are going on a leaf hunt" By Steve Metzger. There are lots of beautiful leaves to find! Three friends have a big adventure hiking over a mountain, and through a forest to collect leaves of all kinds and colors. Ask your child what the children did with all of the leaves that they collected.
After we read our story, we went on a leaf hunt of our own. There were lots of different colors, sizes and types of leaves.
Matthew was our snack leader today. He brought granola bites and milk. Thank you, Matthew!!
I hope you are all able to enjoy the sunshine today!!

Welcome to October!
Today it felt like the perfect fall day. We had lots of laughter and conversations about our field trip to the pumpkin patch. I think that farmer Gene has become quite the celebrity in our class. I heard that some of your pumpkins have been painted, or covered with stickers. How much fun!
Even though the air was a little crisp, we spent some time outside. It was nice to get some fresh air and run around after the rainy cold weekend we had.
Our story today was called "Pumpkin Countdown" By Joan Holub. Fall has come, and what better way to celebrate than a field trip to the pumpkin patch! From 20 name tags on coats all the way down to 1 last pumpkin song, the class counts everything in sight! The class had so much fun with the rhyming words, and counting in the book.
Jamie was our snack leader today. He brought applesauce and string cheese. Thank you, Jamie!
Wednesday is our Birthday and Cooking Day. It is also ORANGE Day! I can't wait to see what fun orange things everyone wears.
In your child's bag today, you will find a paper with the code to log into the website to view the proofs for your child's school pictures.
